A 69-year-old woman from Waterville, Minn., has died as the result of head injuries suffered in a snowmobile crash near Pequot Lakes, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Vicki Lynn Gleason was injured when the snowmobile she was driving crashed on Feb. 24 on Hwy. 371 at County Road 107, in Crow Wing County.
She died March 5 at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, the medical examiner said.
According to the State Patrol, Gleason struck a hard-packed snowbank as she rode on a snowmobile trail that ran along Hwy. 371. The snowmobile flipped over and she suffered severe head injuries.
