City crews have restored water to a portion of northeast Minneapolis hit by a water main break Saturday.
The city thanked residents of the neighborhood across from downtown in a message at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday for their patience as staff worked to restore service, according to a post on social media.
The break along Hennepin Avenue impacted residences and businesses between 2nd and 4th streets and First and Central avenues. Service was out for about a day as repairs were made.
While repairs were made, city officials have said that work on damage to the street and sidewalks will extend into the week.
