As we head into the second week of the hurricane season, AccuWeather.commeteorologists will continue to monitor the western Caribbean this week. A weakarea of low pressure over Central America could become better organized bymidweek.This system will drift northward, reaching Cuba by mid- to late-week.
Whether or not this system fully develops, it still has the potential to bringlocally heavy rain and gusty winds over the western Caribbean this week.
