Watch Obama in Minneapolis

If you won't be at the Minneapolis Convention Center to see President Obama address the American Legion convention today, you can watch his speech live at startribune.com. His address is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

Legion attracts legions of pols

President Obama isn't the only politician visiting the American Legion's national convention in Minneapolis. U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, Gov. Mark Dayton and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will participate in a "welcome" event today after the president speaks. U.S. Rep. Tim Walz will speak on Wednesday, as will U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver remarks on video. Lest you think only Democrats are addressing the group: Presidential candidate U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann is slated to speak Thursday morning.
