AFTON

OCT. 25

Skateboard complaint. A group of males were reported skateboarding on long boards at very high speeds on the roadway in the area of 50th Street and River Road. The report said they had a camera hooked up to a car and were filming themselves. When a deputy made contact with the group, they informed him they were leaving the area.

GRANT

OCT. 28

Exhibition driving. A red Ford Mustang and a dark-colored Jaguar were reported racing on Goodview Avenue just north of 177th Street. A deputy contacted one of the vehicle owners who said they weren't racing. He said his vehicle is loud and that might've alarmed the complainant. The deputy remembered that he had dealt with the vehicle owner recently about expired tabs that he had failed to take care of. The deputy advised him not to drive the vehicle until it has up-to-date tabs.

HUGO

OCT. 24

Noise complaint. A resident in the 4000 block of Victor Path reported a neighbor started his loud car around 4:30 or 5:30 every morning. The neighbor was apologetic when he was advised of the complaint by a deputy. He said he was in the process of getting a new vehicle.

LAKE ELMO

OCT. 26

Suspicious activity. A man on a bicycle in the 9000 block of Stillwater Boulevard was reportedly pulling up signs from yards and throwing them into the ditch. When contacted by a deputy, he complained about the signs but admitted throwing them in the ditch. He was advised to get over his obsession with the signs and he said he understood.

LANDFALL

OCT. 25

Theft of electricity. A semi-buried extension cord was discovered running from one residence to another in the 10 block of Dellwood Cove. A citation for theft of electricity was issued to the owners of the second residence.

MAHTOMEDI

OCT. 24

Animal welfare. A sick raccoon was reported in the parking lot of Fitness Focus, 688 Wildwood Road. A deputy located the animal, which looked healthy, boxed in near a dumpster. He was able to move things that allowed the animal to walk to safety.

OAKDALE

OCT. 26

Suspicious activity. An officer made contact with a group of juveniles who had reportedly been rolling a tire down a hill, hitting homes in the 3800 block of Granada Way. The juveniles denied the tire hit any houses. The officer didn't notice any damage to homes. The juveniles were sent home.

OCT. 27

Disturbance. Police responded to a report of a man yelling and swinging the sword from his costume around outside Riley's Pub and Grill, 1267 Geneva Av. Bouncers had taken away the sword before police arrived. The man was identified as having an active Washington County warrant. He was arrested and taken to jail.

WOODBURY

OCT. 25

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 2200 block of Parkview Lane reported hearing what sounded like someone trying her front door knob. She opened the door and saw a young woman who seemed startled. The woman, wearing a black hoodie pulled over her head, told the resident she was in the area doing an energy survey. When the resident informed her she wasn't interested, the woman drove off in a silver-colored sedan at a high rate of speed.
