AUG. 8

Underage party. Police cited two people for underage drinking at a party in the 14000 block of 32nd Street.

GRANT

AUG. 7

Theft. Someone in the 10000 block of Manning Avenue Court reported that two saws and two crossbows had been taken from a pole shed.

HUGO

AUG. 8

Suspicious person. A man was reportedly looking in garbage cans in the area of Egg Lake Road east of Hwy. 61. Police were unable to find the man.

Theft from vehicle. Two purses and a wallet were reported stolen from two vehicles in the 14000 block of Glenbrook Avenue. The wallet was later found intact, minus $60 to $80.

LAKE ELMO

AUG. 8

Criminal damage to property. An air machine was vandalized and coins were taken from it at the Oasis Market, 11025 10th St.

AUG. 9

Littering. Policed received a report of someone throwing new clothing out the window of a silver Jeep on Stillwater Boulevard eastbound near Lake Elmo Avenue.

MAY TOWNSHIP

AUG. 7

Wildlife report. Police received a report of a motorcyclist colliding with a turkey on St. Croix Trail north of Square Lake Trail. The injured turkey was blocking traffic and needed to be dispatched, according to the report. The call was transferred to the State Patrol.

SCANDIA

AUG. 7

Driving complaint. Police received a report of a white van driving with its taillights out in the area of Scandia Trail and Oakhill Road. The call was transferred to the State Patrol.

AUG. 8

Vandalism report. Several items were reported tampered with at or around the Scandia Elementary School, 14351 Scandia Trail.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

AUG. 7

Safety issue. Police received a call from a driver who almost hit a biker in the area of Manning Avenue and Mendel Road. The complainant requested the bike trail be better posted.

WOODBURY

AUG. 7

Theft from motor vehicle. A laptop computer was taken from the back seat of a vehicle in the 2300 block of Timberlea Drive. Two guns were stolen from the trunk.

AUG. 8

Disturbance. Police received a complaint about noise a truck was making hauling rocks near Valley Crossing School, 9900 Park Crossing. Police contacted the Skid Steer operator who stated he would be done soon.

Prank phone calls. A man in the 800 block of Sutherland Drive reported receiving four or five prank phone calls in the early morning hours of Aug. 8. The man said he'd answer and kids on the other end of the line would say something stupid. He wanted the number traced but it was blocked. Police advised him to contact his phone company for further assistance.

Wildlife report. A passerby reported a mother duck was struck by a car and killed on Woodbury Drive south of Tamarack Road. The caller was concerned her eight ducklings would not know where to go. When police arrived they found the ducklings safe in a nearby pond.

AUG. 9

Bicycle theft. A bicycle was reported stolen at Woodbury Theatre, 1470 Queens Drive. The bike had been hidden, but was unsecured, in some bushes on the west side of the building.

Skateboarding complaint. Juveniles skateboarding in the street near Valley Creed Road and Dancing Waters Parkway. They were gone by the time police arrived.
