AFTON

JULY 19

Suspicious vehicle. Police checked report of a dark blue Buick parked for a week at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 14107 Hudson Rd. Police didn't suspect any foul play, but were unable to contact the registered owner.

JULY 21

Fishing question. A man who wanted to confirm he was not trespassing while fishing in Valley Creek. He stated he entered the creek at County Road 21 by the city right of way. He stated property owners along the creek harassed him and sent a dog at him.

DENMARK TOWNSHIP

JULY 21

Animal concern. An injured cat was reported lying in the middle of the road near St. Croix Trail and 70th Street. While police were on the scene the owner of the animal came for it.

JULY 22

Warrior Dash concerns. Police received a call from someone in the 8000 block of Oakgreen Avenue concerned about parking and traffic complications surrounding the Warrior Dash race. Police advised the caller they'd be helping direct traffic and could assist her if she could not get in and out of her driveway.

LAKE ELMO

JULY 21

Suspicious findings. Someone reported answering an employment ad on Craigslist from the High Pointe Surgery Center, 8650 Hudson Blvd., only to find the center never placed the ad.

OAKDALE

JULY 20

Disturbance. Police responded to a report of a woman yelling and refusing to leave a garage sale in the 6700 block of Upper 28th Street. Police determined the woman had made a deal to buy a stroller for $7 but when she returned with money was refused the deal. She was advised to leave and did so without further incident.

Theft. Two juveniles were cited for stealing clothes at Kmart, 7191 10th St.

Suspicious activity. A 74-year-old woman in the 400 block of Hickory Lane reported receiving a call from a male claiming to be her grandson in prison in Mexico. The man wanted her to send money but she refused and then confirmed her grandson was at home sleeping.

Driving without insurance/littering. Police observed the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban throw a cigarette out of the window. The officer ran a check on the vehicle and noticed it had no insurance. The officer contacted the driver and cited her. She was released, the vehicle was towed.

SCANDIA

JULY 23

Assist. Two people with dogs were locked out of their camper at the Savanna Campground at William O'Brien State Park, 16821 O'Brien Trail N. Police turned the call over to park employees.

STILLWATER

JULY 22

Public assist. A 35-year-old woman at Lumberjack Days called police to report she had been separated from her husband. He had texted her earlier to say he was stuck and wouldn't be home that evening. Police found the man passed out in a porta potty near P.D. Pappy's Music Bar & Grill, 422 E. Mulberry St.

Public assist. Police received complaint about a lemonade stand run by two juveniles in the 100 block of Harriet Street. The complainant told police that people were cutting across a yard to get to the stand. Police informed the caller there was no ordinance violation.

JULY 23

Public assist. During Lumberjack Days police took a 21-year-old woman to detox after they found her crying and lying on the sidewalk near Fourth and Linden streets. She told police her wallet had been stolen although she had it with her. She registered a .22 on an alcohol breath test.

WOODBURY

JULY 22

Junk vehicle. Police received a report of a vehicle parked, for about three years, in a driveway of a residence in the 2700 block of Mallard Drive. Police observed the vehicle had no license plates but had personal property stored inside. Police left a card at the house after attempts to contact the owner failed.

JULY 23

Malicious mischief. An unknown person turned on an outside water spigot at a home in the 3400 block of Fairfax Lane, according to police reports.
