Warnings about Christmas gifts

December 28, 2010 at 4:26PM

After you've opened your presents this morning, you might want to make sure you didn't receive anything that is on Consumer Reports' list of gifts not to buy this holiday season. Here are a few products that made the list:

•Expensive ab workout machines that don't work any better than a sit-up.

•A flowery Revlon barrette and a cell phone charm sold at Claire's that contain concerning levels of lead or other metal contaminants.

•Sex supplements that may contain undisclosed prescription erectile-dysfunction drugs.

•Protein drinks that could contain heavy metal contaminants.
