Want to see the cloud-patterned suit Prince wore in his "Raspberry Beret" video? The pinstriped suit he rocked during his induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Or the turquoise suit and guitar he played at the 2007 Super Bowl?

A free Prince pop-up mini-museum opened quietly Thursday at the Mall of America. The show, entitled "Prince: The Artist, The Icon, The Legend," features a couple of dozen artifacts, including movie story boards for "Purple Rain," a diamond-studded cane he used at the 2015 Grammys and those aforementioned outfits.

"Damn, he was really skinny," said one woman as she looked at Prince's clothes on headless mannequins in cases.

Security guards were shooing away young exhibit-goers who wanted to sit in one of Prince's plush purple thrones, with its extra tall back.

The 2,100-square-foot exhibit is a tease for the new museum at Paisley Park, which charges $38.50 and $100 for tours. No photos are allowed at the MOA Prince display. Souvenirs, such as $23 T-shirts and $80 glyph tambourines, are available.

The pop-up museum, which is open daily through Nov. 14, is located on Level 3 East, near Margaritaville.

Paisley Park was set to open for public tours on Oct. 6. Citing zoning concerns, the Chanhassen City Council voted Oct. 3 to delay the opening. However, the city has allowed for tours on a limited number of days, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More may be announced after a city meeting on Oct. 24.
