The Minnesota Vikings and their civic boosters say they're focused on bringing the Super Bowl to Minneapolis in 2018.
But already there's an air of "wait until next year."
New Orleans and Indianapolis are the other two finalists. New Orleans, a favorite city of conventioneers and tourists, wants the big game as part of its yearlong tricentennial celebration. Hard to argue with that.
A Chicago-based sports consultant tells the Indy Star that New Orleans will get the game in 2018 and Minneapolis in 2019 as pay back for buildilng a new stadium.

The new stadium is under construction and set to open in 2016. The NFL's 32 owners gather to vote in May to decide who wins the 2018 game. Vikings VP Lester Bagley says the team has a detailed lobbying plan for those owners underway already.
