CLASSIC COSMOPOLITAN
Makes 1.
Note: This pretty garnet- colored drink is best served in a martini glass.
• 3 oz. (6 tbsp.) vodka
• 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) Triple Sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
• 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) fresh lime juice
• 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) fresh cranberry juice
• Slice of lime, for garnish
Directions
Shake vodka, Triple Sec, lime juice and cranberry juice vigorously with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with slice of lime.
VODKATINI (OR VODKA MARTINI)
Makes 1.
Note: Here's where the qualities of a premium vodka shine. Some folks insist on finishing this with an olive. I prefer a citrus twist.
• 3 oz. (6 tbsp.) vodka
• 1 tsp. dry vermouth
• Lemon or orange twist
Directions
Shake the vodka and vermouth with cracked ice and strain into a chilled lowball or martini glass and garnish with a lemon or orange twist.
