Nicki Minaj bows to no one. The rapper has made a name for herself by out-rapping her male counterparts on any song she's featured. And she's particularly proud of producing the most salacious videos since Madonna.
But this week, Minaj got on her knees to pay tribute to her idol: Lauryn Hill. The two met backstage at a Tidal benefit in New York, with Minaj capturing the moment with an Instagram video that's been viewed 3 million times.
In the post, she literally gets down on her hands and knees to praise Hill, saying, "I'm in love with your spirit, your mind ... everything about you."
The once reclusive hip-hop legend seems genuinely humbled by Minaj's fangirl homage. Of course, Minaj did it all in style, wearing a massive fur coat that almost engulfs the duo when they finally embrace.
