The Vikings have waived receiver Rodney Adams, a fifth-round draft pick out of South Florida who showed potential in the preseason but became even more expendable once Michael Floyd returned from suspension.
The team claimed running back Mack Brown off the waiver wire. Brown was released by Washington this week after carrying the ball eight times in the team's first seven games.
Also waived was center Cornelius Edison.
Adams earned the nickname, 'Hello, goodbye' because of his speed. At South Florida, he ranked second all-time in school history with 16 receiving touchdowns, 19,67 receiving yards and 135 catches.
He was the first receiver drafted by the Vikings this summer, followed by Stacy Coley.
