NEXT OPPONENT: Washington

The Vikings are on bye at the season's halfway point; when they return, they get a team that has lost two in a row and visits Seattle next week.

OPPONENT WEEK 8

Dallas 33, Washington 19

Kirk Cousins threw for 263 yards, but his final interception was returned for a touchdown, the last of many mistakes by the banged-up Redskins in a pouring rain at home.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Ryan Kerrigan, LB

The former All-America at Purdue, who briefly left Sunday's game because of a groin injury, had two sacks against Dallas, giving him six sacks on the season and 64½ in his seven-year career.

OUTLOOK

The Vikings have lost out of their bye six of the past seven years, and 2016 went off the rails after a Week 6 bye. Still … Outlook: Horns up.
