MANKATO -- The Vikings eased into training camp on Friday by holding a single session that lasted only about an hour and 10 minutes.

The second day will not be as easy. The Vikings will hold two practices today, the first from 9 to 11:15 this morning and then an evening session from 7 to 8:55 p.m. The Vikings will then hold a single practice at 3 p.m. Sunday before getting into a six-day span that will feature two-a-days. A special teams practice will make up the second workout on Wednesday. Coach Brad Childress said one of today's practices will be held in pads. We are allowed to tweet from the fields during practices held in Mankato so if you can't get down here make sure to follow us.
