SCOTT CRICHTON FILE

Pick: Third round, 77th overall

Position: Defensive end

School: Oregon State

Height, weight: 6-3, 273

The skinny: A redshirt junior who posted 22½ sacks and 51 tackles for loss in three seasons. He gives the Vikings another pure edge rusher to go with first-round pick Anthony Barr, the linebacker from UCLA.

The quote: On why he chose to be one of a record 102 underclassmen to declare for the draft: "I love my family. I've taken this responsibility to take care of them. My mom works two jobs, and my dad is disabled and still works a job, too. They are getting old and I want them to retire."

Did you know? Crichton's parents are from Western Samoa.

Jerick McKinnon FILE

Pick: Third round, 96th overall

Position: Running back/quarterback/defensive back

School: Georgia Southern

Height, weight: 5-9, 209

The skinny: The Vikings want him to play running back. In 47 college games, McKinnon played quarterback in a triple-option attack, running back, fullback and even cornerback for two games his sophomore year. He also was worked out as a kick returner at his pro day.

The quote: "I'm looking forward to learning from Adrian Peterson, just soaking in all his knowledge like a sponge."

Did you know? This is the last piece of the Percy Harvin trade with Seattle.
