Vikings struggle to produce on third down

It's hard to win football games without converting third-down plays. The Vikings failed eight times on 10 tries (not counting plays influenced by penalties) to get a first down in that situation, and they didn't come through on their one fourth-down attempt, either. Two of their 17 first downs came as a result of penalties.
