The Vikings have signed free-agent wide receiver Ryan Whalen.
Whalen was a sixth-round pick of the Bengals in 2011 after playing at Stanford. The California native played three seasons for the Bengals before being released after the 2014 preseason.
Mike Zimmer was, of course, Cincinnati's defensive coordinator then.
Whalen appeared in 17 games for the Bengals, mostly playing on special teams. He has 11 career receptions for 80 yards. He has also made six tackles on special teams.
The Vikings now have a full 90-man roster.
