Vikings sign two tryout players

Team adds wide receiver and offensive tackle after rookie camp

May 3, 2010 at 6:03PM

The Vikings had a large group of players on a tryout basis at the rookie camp last week. Two players earned contracts out of that camp, according to the team's website.

Former Iowa State wide receiver Marquis Hamilton and Southwest Minnesota State offensive tackle Bill Noethlich were signed to contracts today, per Vikings.com. Here is the blog item.

It's unclear whether the Vikings will sign any other players who took part in the camp. Quarterback Ryan Perrilloux received considerable attention last week and obviously has a lot of talent. Judd wrote about Perrilloux in this story Sunday.

We'll see if the Vikings plan on signing Perrilloux at some point this offseason.
