For the third time, the Vikings brought back middle linebacker Terrance Plummer on Monday.

Plummer, 23, originally signed to the Vikings practice squad last October before he was released on Dec. 1. A week later, he was added again to the Vikings practice squad. Plummer remained on the roster until he was let go again in April.

Plummer (6-0, 240) went undrafted in 2015 out of Central Florida.

The Vikings had room on the 90-man roster after waiving cornerback Keith Baxter and linebacker Jason Wittingham on Sunday. Baxter had only practiced the first day of training camp in Mankato. When asked, coach Mike Zimmer would only say Baxter was in the hospital. Later that afternoon, he was let go.

They still have one open roster spot.
