The Vikings have signed only two of their eight draft picks so far but with just a little more than a week until the team reports to training camp that should begin to change.

It's expected that talks with the agent for second-round cornerback Chris Cook -- the Vikings' first selection in the draft -- will pick up this week.

Already signed are fifth-round linebacker Nathan Triplett out of Minnesota and seventh-round fullback Ryan D'Imperio out of Rutgers.

That leaves a list that includes Cook; second-round running back Toby Gerhart (Stanford); fourth-round defensive end Everson Griffen (Southern Cal); fifth-round guard Chris DeGeare (Wake Forest); sixth-round quarterback Joe Webb (Alabama-Birmingham); and seventh-round tight end Mickey Shuler (Penn State).

Considering the Vikings did not have a first-round pick, things should go pretty smoothly in negotiations now that camp is approaching.
