NEXT OPPONENT:

GREEN BAY

The Packers were playing for a first-round bye on Sunday, but they couldn't match the Vikings' desperation. They still have a home playoff game as a reward.

PACKERS WEEK 17

Vikings 37, Packers 34

The Packers offense had few problems as Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes, but their defense was unable, again, to stop Adrian Peterson, who ran for 199 yards.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Aaron Rodgers, quarterback

Rodgers led the NFL again with a 108.0 quarterback rating. He has been awfully successful against the Vikings over his career, and has a home-field advantage on Saturday. Can the Vikings find a way to slow him down?

OUTLOOK

We had horns up for the season finale, figuring the Vikings would play as if they had nothing to do. But in the third meeting, the Packers will be the heavy favorite. Outlook: Horns down.
