Vikings lead 6-0, but beware the red zone woes

Team had to settle for two more field goals inside the 20

September 25, 2011 at 5:51PM

The Vikings are controlling the Lions 6-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Lions don't have a first down and have given up sacks on both of their third-down plays.

Those who have seen the first two Vikings games have to be concerned that the team stalled in the red zone two more times. They settled for a pair of Ryan Longwell field goals.

For the season, the Vikings have three touchdowns in eight trips to the red zone.
