The Vikings injury report grew substantially this week as 10 players were listed on Wednesday's list.
Three players did not participate at all -- safety Husain Abdullah (concussion), tight end Jim Kleinsasser (groin) and cornerback Lito Sheppard (hand).
Seven players were limited -- cornerback Chris Cook (knee), offensive guard Chris DeGeare (ankle), linebacker E.J. Henderson (knee), defensive end Brian Robison (ankle), center John Sullivan (calf), quarterback Brett Favre (elbow) and defensive tackle Letroy Guion (toe).
As Judd wrote in an earlier blog, Favre said his right elbow is feeling better and we saw him throwing passes during individual drills.
Cook sounded optimistic that he will be able to return from his knee injury Sunday.
Reaction to NFL crackdown
Naturally, the NFL's crackdown on dangerous or illegal hits was a hot topic in the Vikings locker room on Wednesday. A number of players weighed in on the subject and here is some of the reaction:
Antoine Winfield: "Defensively I know if you have a chance to take a shot on a guy, you're usually going to take it. We're not out there trying to hurt anyone. But this is a contact sport. I don't think you'll see many guys avoiding hits just because the NFL put these new fines out there. You'll see pretty much the same thing. Just a lot of guys will be missing a lot more money."
