The Vikings worked out two defensive backs this week, taking a look at Brandon Browner and Markeith Knowlton. Both have spent time in the CFL.

Browner played college football at Oregon State and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2005. Browner eventually ended up with Calgary of the CFL and was named an all-star last season playing for the Stampeders team that won the Grey Cup.

As we've written before, these workouts do not mean the Vikings are going to sign a player. Often they just want to take a look at available free agents so they can build a file on them and perhaps sign them after the season. The Vikings also are proactive about attempting to upgrade their practice squad.
