Vikings get back to work

Team returns to practice after day off

August 9, 2010 at 1:15PM

MANKATO -- The Vikings no doubt enjoyed their day off Sunday, but now it's back to work.

The team has two practices today, the first starting at 9 a.m. Adrian Peterson said Saturday night that he expects to be able to practice at full speed in team drills for the first time today since experiencing tightness in his left hamstring early in camp.

We'll also see if wide receiver Percy Harvin returns to the field. Harvin has been away from the team since last Sunday while dealing with the death of his grandmother.

We're scheduled to have media access with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier after practice so we'll bring you highlights from that.

Until then, here's a new blog post by backup linebacker Erin Henderson, who breaks down a typical day at camp.

As always, Judd and I will tweet during practice. Judd is at www.twitter.com/juddzulgad and I'm at www.twitter.com/chipscoggins.
