CLASS OF 2006 UPDATE

Reggie Bush was the second pick in the 2006 NFL draft (behind Mario Williams), going to New Orleans. Bush, through seven seasons, has not been chosen for a Pro Bowl — and 36 players from the draft class have, as well as five who were undrafted. Running backs from the Class of 2006 who have made the Pro Bowl? DeAngelo Williams, Joseph Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew, Michael Robinson (as a fullback), Leon Washington (as a return man), Lawrence Vickers (as a fullback) and Montell Owens (as a special teamer). Bush was an All-Pro punt returner in 2008, however.

MANO-A-MANO

Vikings CB Chris Cook vs. Lions WR Calvin Johnson

WHO WON?

Johnson had four catches for 37 yards, and was targeted nine times. Considering Johnson set an NFL record for receiving yardage last season, Cook gets the nod in this matchup.

PLAY OF THE GAME

BUSHWHACKED

The Lions led 20-17 late in the third quarter when Reggie Bush scored on a 77-yard catch-and-run. QB Matthew Stafford (9) found Bush circling on the right side. Lions OT Larry Warford (75) forced Vikings LB Chad Greenway (52) to stay outside as Bush cut to the middle and outraced Vikings CB Chris Cook (20) to the end zone for a 27-17 lead.

THE QUOTE

"I haven't seen a five- or six-man box for quite a while. It was very pleasant looking across that line and seeing those guys worrying about Calvin Johnson."
