Vikings vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman reportedly was in Florida on Wednesday to scout the Gators Pro Day.
Vikings officials were expected to attend Virginia's Pro Day on Thursday specifically to watch cornerback Chris Cook, according to a league source. Cook is projected as a second-round pick in a number of mock drafts and apparently spent some time meeting with the Vikings at the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine.
Cook is a big, physical corner who some predict could move to safety.
Here is NFL.com's analysis of Cook from the scouting combine.Â
