The Vikings are bringing back reserve linebacker Audie Cole on a one-year contract, a source confirmed.

Cole, 26, played seven games last season, making three tackles, before suffering a season-ending fractured ankle in November.

Cole was a seventh-round pick in 2012. In four years with the Vikings, Cole started seven games and totaled 74 tackles, a sack and two pass break-ups. He has been a regular contributor on special teams.

ESPN first reported the news that Cole had agreed to a one-year deal.
