Vikings defensive end Jared Allen did not have much of a scouting report to offer up on Tony Romo earlier this week when asked about the Cowboys quarterback. Essentially, Allen admitted he doesn't spend much time watching a guy unless he is going to face him and that means the bulk of Allen's film study had yet to begin when reporters talked to him on Sunday.

But one Cowboys player Allen knows plenty about is DeMarcus Ware and it's clear he has great respect for the Pro Bowl linebacker. Ware finished the regular season tied for seventh in the NFL with 11 sacks after tying Derrick Thomas for sixth in league history last season with 20.

"Ware's a great player," Allen said. "I've got a lot of respect for that guy. I'm actually a big fan of his, watching him play. He's a good human being. That's probably what I'm the biggest fan of. Just watching people have success is really cool. The guy does things to tackles that are impressive. You watch him work. I thought he was going to get that sack record [last season]. I can't say anymore about it. I think he's awesome."

The Giants' Michael Strahan set the single-season sack record in 2001 with 22.5 in 2001.
