The Scene: The Kilauea Lighthouse, on the northernmost tip of Kauai, sits amid the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. "Many seabirds are visible and also whales in the right season," according to Jessica's fiancé, Jeff Starkman.

Why go: Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands and is truly a magical place," Starkman wrote in an e-mail.
