An 'E' for effort
"Night School" (⋆½, rated PG-13) stars Kevin Hart as a high school dropout whose job as a salesman comes to an explosive end, and Tiffany Haddish as a night-school teacher trying to help him get his GED. While Hart and Haddish give it their best efforts, the script is as bland as grade school paste. Director Malcolm D. Lee ("Barbershop: The Next Cut") doesn't help, making this film look like an extended TV sitcom.
