Director Ben Stiller finds humanity in "Escape at Dannemora" (⋆⋆⋆½), a Showtime miniseries based on the terror two convicts (Paul Dano and Benicio Del Toro) brought to upstate New York in 2015. The script is more interested in life behind bars; the escape doesn't take place until the sixth of seven episodes. Stiller accents the eccentricities and vulnerabilities of the convicts and their keepers. Patricia Arquette plays the seamstress who helped bust out the inmates.
