Battle on the home front

Movies such as "Thank You for Your Service" serve as a counterbalance to the steady stream of war news — reminding us of the aftermath faced by servicemen and women. The film focuses on three soldiers — played by Miles Teller, Beulah Koale and Will Waller — who are physically uninjured but deeply broken by their experiences in the Middle East. Unfortunately, director Jason Hall didn't push hard enough to make his film much more than an impressive public service announcement.
