Christmas is here to stay in Minneapolis, despite some adamant requests by a peculiar green fellow at City Hall.

As a promotion for the Children's Theater Show "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," the Grinch himself asked Mayor R.T. Rybak to do away with the holiday. Rybak refused, but agreed to a compromise ban on fruitcake.
