Video: Creating art for a college campus

The 20-foot-tall mural was created from recycled tin by Minneapolis artist Michael Sweere. Watch how he does it.

The first piece of art installed in Lake Superior College's newest building is a 20-foot-tall mural made from recycled tin.

That tin came from "coffee cans, fruitcake and tea tins, and old metal lunch boxes," according to an article in The Wave. (These photos show the details.)

Watch how Minneapolis artist Michael Sweere made the mural in the video below. Or, if you're in Duluth, see the art in person during the Health and Science Building's grand opening on Friday.
