Authorities have found the truck that allegedly fled the scene after hitting a 9-year-old boy in Coon Rapids on Wednesday.
Vehicle suspected of hitting boy seized
Authorities have impounded a black truck that was involved in hit-and-run that critically injured a 9-year-old boy.

Anoka County Cmdr. Paul Sommer confirmed that the black truck was impounded while the investigation continues into the hit-and-run driver who struck Amir Taylor of Minneapolis, critically injuring him. No suspect is being sought, he said.
Taylor was riding his bike outside his grandmother's house in Coon Rapids when the truck struck him Wednesday near Moor Park. Authorities described the driver as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s with short blond hair and a "scraggly," unshaven face.
A man matching that description showed up Thursday to Lehman's Garage in downtown Minneapolis with a black truck, asking for repairs to a cracked windshield and broken side mirror, said an employee who declined to be named. The man paid for the $440 in repairs in cash but left his car to have the crushed front door fixed as well, he said. When another employee saw the description of the man authorities were searching for on the news, he called Coon Rapids police on Friday to report the customer, who he said is 33 and lives in Minneapolis.
"It fit him perfectly," the employee said of the description. "The cops were pretty appreciative we called it in."
No one has been arrested.
