Valleyfair is just about back to 100 percent after last week's Minnesota River floodwaters silenced screams on three of its thrill rides and overwhelmed its main parking lot.
Minnesota's largest and most popular amusement park, in Shakopee, had to shut down the Renegade, Excalibur and Thunder Canyon rides near the back.
As of Thursday, only Thunder Canyon was left to resume operations, Valleyfair spokeswoman Robin Stinnett said.
Patrons can now park close to the entrance, an area that was covered in water not long ago. During that time, Valleyfair waived the $12 parking fee for motorists using an adjacent lot.
The recovery comes just as the park prepares for a busy holiday weekend. A fireworks show will be held starting Thursday and continuing through Aug. 3. Stinnett said the show on July 4th will be an expanded version.
