Vadnais Heights is holding an open house for departing City Administrator Gerry Urban.
The celebration is on Jan. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. Remarks will start at 5 p.m. The event will be held at Vadnais Heights Commons, 655 East County Road F. Urban is retiring on Feb. 1 after 45 years of service.
Five possible successors are:
Melinda Coleman, North Oaks city administrator and former assistant to Maplewood city manager.
Michael Ericson, former Hugo city administrator and current economic development consultant in Maplewood.
John Pechman, Chisago City administrator and former assistant to White Bear Lake city manager.
Kevin Watson, city administrator for Junction City, Ore.; former assistant to Keiser, Ore., city manager.
Jason Ziemer, Maple Plain city administrator and former Minnesota DNR information officer.
