Usher will work at Target Center on May 21

It will be his first local arena gig in seven years.

Usher will return to Target Center Star Tribune photo ***UPDATE: Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster next Thursday (Feb. 17) at 10 a.m. and range in price from $29.50-$99.50. Usher, the song-and-dance man who regularly lands at the top of the charts, will bring his OMG Tour to Target Center on May 21. That's the same Usher who dropped in on the Black Eyed Peas' halftime performance at the Super Bowl and the same Usher who mentors Justin Bieber in the film "Never Say Never." Of course, Usher has his own string of hits over the past 15 years including "You Make Me Wanna," "Yeah," "Burn" and last year's "OMG." Usher last performed at Target Center in 2004. Ticket information is expected to be announced on Friday. Akon will open.
