US Open Tennis Weather

September 9, 2010 at 7:25PM

It's showtime at the U.S. Open in Flushing, New York. This is where all thebest tennis players in the world dream of being, but few ever get this far.The remaining schedule is as follows: The women's semifinals Friday, the men'ssemifinals and the women's final on Saturday, and the men's final onSunday.

Friday, the weather will be decent aside from the wind. That will be a bit of anuisance no doubt. It will average 12-20 mph throughout the day with occasionalgusts to 25 mph. It certainly won't be hot. The high Friday will be around75.

Saturday's weather will offer much lighter winds and sunshine. If I had mydruthers though, I wouldn't want to play tennis when the sun is high overhead.

It can be right in your eyes when you serve, and that's nasty. Some sort ofhigh overcast would be much kinder on the eyes.

Sunday doesn't look like a winner, I afraid. It will turn out cloudy, and itcould rain for a while.
