Road-blocking snowfall of 12 to at least 18 inches will mark the worst of aburying East Coast Nor`easter late Saturday into Sunday.Additional snowfall of at least one foot will stretch eastward from eastern NewJersey to parts of southern New England as far north as Boston. Here, the stormwill qualify as a blizzard, at least at times, owing to powerful winds and aheavy rate of 1 to 2 inches an hour.
From Philadelphia to Baltimore, amounts to half a foot or more will accumulatethrough the evening, when the storm's worst will wind down. But this will leaveamounts of one to as much as two feet on the ground.
Amounts will taper sharply towards the north with only a few inches overcentral New England into eastern New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.
