Updated Rainfall Map for the Northeast

Heavy rain will continue across the I-95 corridor from Baltimore, Md., toPortland, Maine, into Tuesday afternoon as a second storm system moves up alongthe coast.The heavy rain will taper off from southwest to northeast later Monday nightand into Tuesday.

Total rainfall by Tuesday night in this region will average 2-4 inches,resulting in widespread flooding in low-lying near rivers and streams.

Flooding along some rivers in southern New England could be similar or evenworse than what was experienced from two weeks ago.
