"The Office" still has many episodes before ending its final season, but cast members are already busy at work looking towards the future. Deadline.com reports that Brian Baumgartner, who spent seven years performing in Twin Cities productions, is the latest to sign a deal.

Baumgartner, who plays the mumbling moronic Kevin Malone, is slated to star in a new untitled ABC project about a airline executive who wants to win at something again. It is being developed by Greg Danils, who launched both "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation."

Others with development deals include Angela Kinsey, Craig Robinson and Rainn Wilson, another veteran of Twin Cities stages. WIlson's sitcom is a proposed spinoff featuring his "Office" character, Dwight Schrute.

UPDATED: Rainn Wilson tweeted at 4:35 p.m. That NBC has passed on his "Office"-spinoff pilot.

Here's the tweet: Farm Update: NBC has passed on moving forward with The Farm TV show. Had a blast making the pilot - onwards & upwards!
