Temperatures across Florida will plummet Tuesday night, as the combination ofclear skies, light winds and a cold, dry air mass drop the mercury well belowthe freezing mark in central Florida and close to freezing as far south as WestPalm Beach.The critical temperature for citrus is 28 degrees and how long the temperatureremains at or below that temperature. At this point, it looks like there couldbe some damage to the northernmost groves by early Wednesday morning.
By the weekend, an even colder air mass could arrive across the Sunshine State.
