NEXT OPPONENT: CHICAGO

Jay Cutler's return from injury provided a spark after an 0-3 start, but run defense has been a trouble spot for the Bears all season.

OPPONENT WEEK 6

Detroit 37, Chicago 34 (OT)

The Bears were on bye in Week 7, a week after blowing their chance at a three-game winning streak by losing at Detroit. Cutler threw for 353 yards, but Chicago settled for short field goals in the red zone four times.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Alshon Jeffrey, WR

The 25-year-old returned last week after missing four games because of calf and hamstring injuries, and he made his presence felt, with eight catches for 145 yards and a touchdown as Cutler aired it out for him.

OUTLOOK

The Vikings appeared to get their road troubles finally ironed out Sunday, at least after the opening quarter. Outlook: Horns up.
