NEXT OPPONENT: CHICAGO (6-5)

The Bears are tied with the Lions for the NFC North lead. Quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to return after missing four games (torn groin muscle).

OPPONENT WEEK 12

St. Louis 42, Chicago 21

Backup Josh McCown passed for 352 yards and two touchdowns, but the Bears were routed in St. Louis. Benny Cunningham ran for 109 yards and a touchdown to lead the Rams (5-6).

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Matt Forte, running back

The reliable six-year veteran out of Tulane poses a pass-catching threat as well. He has rushed for 851 yards this season and also has 56 receptions for 414 yards. He had seven catches in Sunday's loss.

OUTLOOK

This might surprise you. There's no reason to think the Vikings, who lost to the Bears 31-30 earlier this season, can't make a run at the Monsters of the Midway. Outlook: Horns up.
