Michael Merriam loves cars; it's the people behind the wheel he has an issue with, even when that person is him. As he relates the story of how his diminishing eyesight forced him out of his car and onto public transportation, his fascination with everything automotive provides some of this show's strongest moments, from an early encounter with a tractor to a poetic description of his candy-red Gran Torino. It's unfortunate that he allows tirades about multi-modal transportation design and rude drivers to weaken the piece's overall impact. (7 p.m. Thu., 7 p.m. Sun. Bryant Lake Bowl, 810 W.
