The Chaska Police Department has issued a warning following a report that a man offered a student a ride Wednesday morning near a bus stop in the Ravoux Road area.

The student refused to go with him, and the man drove off without incident. His identity is not known.

The Eastern Carver County School District and Chaska police released a statement to "remind parents to have safety conversations with their kids about how to handle 'suspicious' incidents like this one.

"As a school, the safety of our students is our priority. We plan to take this opportunity to engage our students in 'safety' talks in school to make sure they know what to do in situations like this."

No similar calls have been reported, according to police. They are looking into the incident and encouraging anyone with more information to come forward.
