The Society of Professional Journalists has named the Minnesota Daily the best all-around campus newspaper in the country. The other finalists were the Daily Tar Heel at the University of North Carolina and the Daily Athenaeum at West Virginia University.
Editor-in-chief Holly Miller credited the paper's dedication to embrace new platforms while not forgetting the importance of content. Miller said Wednesday that she was particularly proud of the fact that the paper featured at least one indepth piece a week.
